Apartment looked promising but fell very short in f the rating and the price Positive: Great location. Sofa and bed were very comfortable Negative: After a couple of days the apartment started to smell damp and musty. By the last day it was very apparent they are battling with damp and mould was evident on the skirting just inside the door as well as in the bathroom. The cupboard between the bedroom and bathroom had an overwhelming smell and pealing back the unfixed carpet confirmed the floor was very mouldy. This left all of our clothing with a slightly damp feel. Even though it was August, eventually I did have pop the heating on for an hour to just try and dry things out. Apartment would benefit from a deep clean as cleanliness was only surface level such as placemats having dried on food from previous guests and thick dust on the bed frame. Disappointed no tea towels were provided. And only one bath towel per person for a 5 day stay. Welcome basket lacked a huge amount of love and contained sugar sachets that looked like they had been sat in the bottom of a handbag for several months. We also seemed to lack some of the other perks guests had previously noted such as foil and spices.

A very comfortable well placed property 10 minutes walk from the town centre and railway station. Positive: Great location next to the river. 10 minute walk to the town centre and railway station. A very comfortable flat which has everything you need for your stay.

Positive: The Mill Retreat is in a perfect location. Short walks to the centre of Dunblane with some lovely places to eat & drink. Also easy walk to supermarket. We didn't use the pool area, but only because we ran out of time. The video guide was very useful. Everything is like a home from home, comfortable and everything you need for a couple of days R&R away. It is also very quiet, you would never know you were in an apartment building. We would have no hesitations in returning if we are next in Dunblane and would also have no hesitations booking any of Ben, Ollie & Alastairs property's now we know what standards to expect. All in all a great few days, in a great place. Negative: Could do with a little more clothes hanging space, but that's maybe just me & my clutter phobia.
